What is the gospel?

For what I (we have) received I passed (we now pass) on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, and that he appeared to Cephas (that is, Peter), and then to the Twelve. After that, he appeared to more than five hundred of the brothers and sisters at the same time, most of whom are still living (At the time when the Apostle Paul was writing to the Church of Corinth), though some have fallen asleep. Then he appeared to James, then to all the apostles, and last of all he appeared to me (the Apostle Paul) also, as to one abnormally born (Paul was the Last capital "A" Apostle). – 1 Corinthians 15:3-8

Questions & Answers:

I accepted Jesus into my heart, but I don't feel saved.

Accepting Jesus can't save you, He must accept you; see Romans 15:7 (NIV) "Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God." And accepting (or making) Jesus as Lord and Master means nothing, because He was, is, and will always be your Lord and Master regardless of what you do or don't do. In fact, demons recognize Jesus Christ as Lord and Master, but they do it with fear and trembling; see James 2:19 (NKJV) "You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe-and tremble!"
